Classic Buffalo-style chicken wing sauce is composed of a vinegar-based cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter. Buffalo wings are traditionally served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.

This recipe was named after it's place of origin, Buffalo, New York. Spending six hours sizzling up the 300-plus pound beef patty, which was then tucked into a 105-pound bun and topped with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and barbecue sauce, the Sun reported.

"I'm amazed that we got it out of the grill and onto the bun," Reader told the paper. "That was the whole trickiness to it, but it held together, it's edible, it's delicious."

Reader told the Sun he didn't care if he actually broke the Guinness World Record for burgers of unusual size.

"Whether they say 'yea' or they say 'nay', I don't care. We built it, now we're going to serve it," he said. "We tried to do all the checks and balances and make sure we followed the rules. Let's hope they go, 'Yea'."
The standing "world's largest burger" weighs in at a measly 185.8 pounds.

The burger was auctioned off, raising $8,500 Canadian to benefit Camp Bucko, an Ontario-based camp for children with burn injuries, the Sun reported.

Take a huge bite now!

source: Slashfood

World's Most Expensive Omelet

We all know that breakfast helps us to start the day lively - hotdogs, sandwich, fried eggs, coffee etc. But how about you eat your breakfast that will cost you a lot - something like $135!!! a plate!, savor your taste buds with the world's most expensive Omelet from Boisdale, London. Well good for you because Health Benefits comes along the way when you drink tea regularly. Tea contains high levels of antioxidants, some of which are called polyphenols, flavonoids, and catechins, and all of which take on the “free radicals” in the body and prevent them from harming the healthy cells on board.

Which means sending in antioxidants is disease prevention in its finest form. Not only in teas but also in several fruits, vegetables, nuts, meats, and even wines.

But what if you drink your Tea with this kind of cup? In spanish term Brazo de Mercedez is referred to us as the Arm of Mercedez - it is a log or rolled cake or jelly roll that is made from a sheet of meringue rolled around a custard filling with egg yokes & milk filling. I can't help myself because I was craving for it for the past days. (check out the recipe below from recipe horse)

Ingredients for Brazo de Mercedez:

2 can of condensed milk.
1 teaspoon of vanilla.
2 ½ cups of cake flour.
½ cup of confectioner sugar.
1 cup of sugar.
8 eggs.
Oil.

Preparation:

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks are formed. styles to perfect. There is a lot to have to keep in mind; the proper proportion of rice to filling, where to place the filling, how far to put the rice, how thick the layer of rice should be and how to roll and cut the finished rol. It may take a lot of practice before your maki turn out as they do when made by your itamae. But even if they are not perfect they can still be very satisfying. Follow our simple instructions and you will be on your way to making maki in no time. Very often trimmings are used to make maki.

This reduces waste as well having no effect on the quality of the roll, unless lower quality parts of the fish are used (as is sometimes the case in some sushi restaurants, actually). Feel free to use anything you want in these rolls, I often use my choicest cuts to make nigiri sushi and the rest to make maki.@sushifaq

Sushi Photos:

<img style="cursor: pointer; One thing that interests me is its mixture of wine, garlic and cinnamon—just wondering how it would taste excites me to challenge my skills in the kitchen. I guess I'll just have to try and see for myself if I could at least get this recipe right the first time. See if you could, too!

Ingredients:

3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1 onion, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves (2 minced and 1 peeled and left whole)
2-3 cups spinach leaves, roughly torn
1/4 cup dry white wine (you can substitute chicken broth if you didn’t have wine)
1 cup water 3 oz. tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup grated Romano/Parmesan/etc. cheese
1 package whole wheat egg noodles
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. Combine the salt, cinnamon, and pepper together. Rub the mixture on the cut up chicken pieces to completely coat them.

2. Heat the oil olive in a large, skillet with a lid over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until it is no longer pink. Remove the chicken from the skillet andset aside.

3. Add the onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions are soft and beginning to brown. Add the wine and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let the wine cook until it is evaporated.

4. Add the water, tomato paste, whole garlic clove, and chicken to the pan. Reduce the heat to low, cover and let simmer for about 20-30 minutes, until the chicken is tender. Cook your noodles while you wait.

5. Add salt and pepper if needed (I didn’t add any). Mix in the spinach leaves and cook until wilted. Serve over egg noodles and top with grated cheese if desired. Serves 3.

Enjoy!

Quick Pasta Sauce

Here's a video about doing a Quick Pasta Sauce by Aria Giovanni. A perfect example would be this coming Christmas - Christmas dinners are a great time to try new wines with favorite recipes of old. Will it be fried chicken, ham, turkey, prime or roasted pig (lechon in Filipino dialect). I think some of the wine books will recommend a lighter red like a Pinot Noir or a Merlot or a terrific selection of versatile whites and reds that are sure to enhance your Christmas gathering and one would be The South African Chenin Blanc. This wine is not only sweet, but quite zesty. The zestiness is perfect with fried food especially the crispy chicken skin.Wine lovers, try this one and I'm pretty sure that you'll enjoy it a lot. Fermenting at higher temperatures imparts more malt sweetness and flavor that may give a fruitiness or spiciness to the taste and aroma of the beer. Lagers are fermented at a lower temperature utilizing bottom-fermenting yeast and go through a long second stage of aging and storage at near freezing temperatures. Lager yeast is more aggressive than ale yeast yielding a drier beer with almost no flavor or aroma contributed by the yeast itself. The lager process produces a crisp, clean beer. muLagers are typically served cold.

When evaluating a beer you are drinking you should take into consideration: Pouring, Appearance, Aroma, First Sip, Mouth Feel, Finish and Style. The idea is just like any ordinary pizza but its dough its prepared the way we prepare mashed potato.

First thing is to boil a kilo of potato until is well done and mash it. Put a little salt and pepper to taste then apply a little butter when mash and transferred on a round container such as a circular pyrex bowl which can be used for the microwave oven for the final preparation. Thickness of the potato dough may be at least half an inch thick. Set it aside as we are now ready to prepare the toppings of the pizza.

Next is to sauté a kilo of ground pork or beef, whatever your choice is, with garlic, onions, pepper and tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce if you can’t find pizza sauce in the supermarket. You may add other spices of your choice but be sure not to spoil the taste. The sauce may be adjusted to your taste. It is almost similar when you are preparing sauce for your spaghetti. After cooking the pork and sauce, just set it aside and prepare the toppings of your homemade pizza. Slice the following to your desired size:

pineapple

different sausages of your choice or pepperoni

tomatoes

mushroom

bacon/salami or any kind of ham

bell pepper

quick melt cheese (but it is suggested that it is grated and sprinkled after everything is ready)

Get the potato dough and transfer your cooked ground pork on top of it and spread evenly. The ground pork that you spread should be estimated to your desired thickness. Afterwhich, spread the other toppings such as pineapple etc. on top of the ground pork.

Sprinkle your specially prepared pizza with Mcormick pizza spices (which you can buy in supermarkets) and cheese. You may add parmesan cheese or your choice of cheese to add more taste.

Finally, bake it in the microwave oven for at least eight minutes. It is suggested that you bake it before eating as the pizza is perfect when served hot.

Have fun!

Galunggong (Mackerel Scad )

Let me share my favorite fish ever, the mackerel scad or known in the philippines as "Galunggong". The word is the contracted form of the Ilocano word "pinakebbet", meaning shrivelled. The original Ilocano pinakbet uses bagoong, of fermented monamon or other fish, while further south, bagoong alamang is used. Usually its most basic vegetables used in this dish include native bitter melon, eggplant, tomato, ginger, okra, string beans, lima beans, chili peppers and various Filipino vegetables like parda, winged beans, and such. A Tagalog version usually includes calabaza (squash).

Ingredients:

1/4 kilo pork with fat (cut into very small pieces) or you can use other alternatives like fried fish or shrimp

It is used to describe the actual marinade or seasoning mix, and the term used for a meat which has been marinated or seasoned with an adobo is referred to having been adobada.

Traditionally adobo is one of the first dishes Filipinos learn to cook, it is simple and requires just a handful of ingredients. In good-tasting adobo, none of the spice flavors dominates but rather the taste is a delicate balance of all the ingredients. The most common preferred type is pork adobo, followed by chicken adobo which is generally considered somewhat healthier but we can also have other alternatives such as squid or adobong pusit, fish etc. For food lovers you might want to cook some chicken adobo, pork adobo or both of them can do. Then after having the chicken or pork adobo, it would be great if you'll have wine or beer on the table but have it moderately.

Ingredients below:

1 1/4 pounds boneless pork loin roast, cut into 2-inch pieces

1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2-inch pieces

3 tablespoons salt

1 tablespoon black peppercorns, coarsely ground

2 tablespoons crushed garlic

2 bay leaves, torn

1 cup white vinegar

1/4 cup soy sauce (optional)

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 cloves garlic, smashed

How to cook:

Season pork and chicken with salt and pepper and place in a stock pot. Rub with crushed garlic and torn bay leaf, and coat with vinegar (and soy sauce, if using). Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.

Bring meat and marinating liquid to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 1 1/2 hours, or until meat is fork-tender. If necessary, add a small amount of water to prevent drying out.

Strain liquid from meat. Return to the stock pot and bring to a simmer. In a skillet, cook and stir meat in 1 tablespoon of oil over medium high heat until brown on all sides, adding remaining 2 cloves of smashed garlic in the last 3 minutes. Add meats to cooking liquid, and continue simmering until slightly thickened.
