I was just curious about this recipe on how or why it was called by the name "Buffalo Wings"? A Buffalo doesn't have wings right? and Buffalo's are quite the same with Carabaos and Cattles as far as I know.
A Buffalo Wings is the wing part of a chicken (obviously) that is fried unbreaded and then coated in sweet sauce or you can have it sweet and spicy. Classic Buffalo-style chicken wing sauce is composed of a vinegar-based cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter. Buffalo wings are traditionally served with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
This recipe was named after it's place of origin, Buffalo, New York. The local residents of Buffalo generally refer to them as "wings" or "chicken wings" rather than "Buffalo wings."
